The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has formally opened the 2025 application procedure.
Applications at the moment are open and may shut on 15 December 2024.
*** Who qualifies for NSFAS funding
To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant must meet the following requirements:
• Be considered a South African citizen or copyright who emanates from a house by using a combined gross domestic earnings that doesn't exceed R350 000 for each annum.
• Persons with disabilities qualify if their combined family cash flow isn't going to exceed R600 000 per annum.
• SASSA recipients immediately qualify for funding and need not post any evidence of income.
*** Loan Scheme for the Missing Middle
The NSFAS Loan Scheme for the missing middle is open up to all South African citizens and permanent inhabitants from households with combined R350 000 and R600 000 for every click here annum.
Applicants are reminded to offer the correct Id Document numbers, names, and surname, as mirrored in their South African ID.
NSFAS only funds people who are finding out or plan to study in a public university or TVET college in South Africa.
All students who wish to study in any of the public universities and TVET colleges should apply timeously and not to wait until the last day.
Learners do not have to wait for matric results to apply for NSFAS. They should apply now and avoid delays in the processing of their application.
